Courtney Radey began her career as an exploration geologist, gaining hands-on experience supporting exploration programs through geological data management, tenure awareness, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams across the exploration life cycle.

Now a product manager at Datamine, Courtney applies her exploration and land tenure experience to the development of software solutions that support land management, compliance, and data integration for exploration and mining companies.

About Nathalie

Nathalie is an instructor, researcher, and field geologist with expertise in geochemistry, igneous petrology, volcanology and geothermal systems. She has over 15 years of undergraduate teaching experience, most of it as a faculty member in the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences at Douglas College, B.C. As an adjunct faculty member of the Department of Earth Sciences at Simon Fraser University, she co-supervises graduate students in volcanology and igneous petrology.

Her main research focus involves the sampling, chemical analysis and interpretation of mineral, rock, gas and water samples from volcanic and geothermal areas and the development of geochemical models for the transfer of elements both at a local and global scale. She has experience working in both geothermal and diamond exploration, and has traveled to various countries including in South-East Asia and South America looking for hot rocks and hot fluids!

About Tafa

Sentence Case

Dr. Tafa Kennedy is the Director of Manitoba Geological Survey, with over 20 years’ experience in the exploration and mining industry in South Africa, Tanzania, Quebec, and Ontario. Tafa worked as a nickel and PGE deposit geologist in Raglan and Kabanga for Strata Nickel and as a consultant geologist in Quebec.

After a time in industry, her call to public service began in 2017 with the Resident Geologist Program and the Mining Lands Division in Ontario.
